Kolkata: Trinamool Congress on Monday transferred legal resolution at Rajya Sabha against the procedures passed by the center to expand the provisions of the leaders of the Directorate of Enforcement and Bureau of Investigations (CBI) for up to five years.
TMC said it was very opposed to how the procedure was passed by two weeks before the parliamentary and retirement winter session on November 18, Director Ed K Mishra.
TMC Rajya Sabha Leader Derek O’Brien posted on Twitter: “Two angry procedures extend the requirements of the Director of ED and CBI from 2 to 5 years.

The source shows that the resolution will be submitted by other opposition parties in halal to the home session.
Interestingly, TMC shows that it is looking at “wider opposition convergence” on this problem, which, the party feels, “damaging the federal structure of the Constitution”.
Reply to questions if TMC has reached other parties, including the Congress, a senior leader said: “We have noticed the statement by the leader of the Congress Adhir Chowdhury about this issue.
We agree with him.
We hope all opposition parties lend their weight to this problem because These institutions are now a tool to target opposition parties.
Speaking for Trinamool, we will surpass the statement to oppose this problem.
“Lok Sabha TMC Sudip Bandyopadhyay also indicated that they would raise this problem – together with the BSF operating area of 15 Up to 50 km – in Lok Sabha.
Legal resolution is looking for disapproval from Rajya Sabha against the procedures announced by the President who influences the increase in the term of office of CBI and ED.
It also allows for voting.
“It was offered that another opposition party would also do this,” said a senior leader.
In other Twitter posts, Derek argues that the Government of Narendra Modi crippling the procedure with the tariff which is the highest in Post-Independent India.
“In the first 30 years (since independence), one of the 10 bills was ratified as a regulation.
Since 2019, about four procedures have been passed from 10 bills,” he added, adding “Gujarat’s appointment model now made into a rule in the middle too.”
