Thane: The day after the vendor attacked the assistant assistant commissioner of Kalpita City Pimpale during the anti-encroachment drive in the crudewadavli, an employee of the Anti-Payment Department Naupada-Kopri had been suspended after the investigation revealed the nexus with the vendor.
Ashwini Waghmale, Deputy Commissioner of the City and responsible for the elimination of unauthorized construction and encroachment, said they had received complaints that the officers were closely related to some of the vendors and their leaders.
“Internal requests expose their colleagues with vendors.
He was given the opportunity to clarify which action was taken.
Action does not have a connection with an attack on the assistant commissioner in the violence,” he said.
Pimpale, assistant Commissioner of the City of Majiwada-Manpada in Thane, lost three fingers and accepted a head injury when a Hawker stabbed him with a knife in Junction in the violence on Monday.
His security guards also suffered injuries.
On Friday, the Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray spoke with Pimpale by telephone when Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske visited him at the hospital.
Thackeray praised him because of his courage while on duty and also convinced him about strict action against his attackers.
