PANAJI: Protest against the South Western train tracking project, TMC on Sunday urged local residents to take the signal of the anti-agricultural law for a year to protest Delhi’s border and started similar agitation in Goa.
Asking Freedom Fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, TMC said that agitation and no discussion caused changes.
Lok Sabha MP and TMC Goa are responsible for Mahua Moitra joining Nuvem candidates Jose Raju Cabral on Sunday at the Utorda and Majorda meeting.
Moitra said that a double tracking project was turned on only for coal transportation and not for additional passenger trains.
“We learned from the past recently, last year, with farmer agitation, where people stood on the ground, standing in the tent, under the naked sun to winter, summer, rain and storm we would not move.
Also, if the mass movement and people’s movement can begin against double tracking, we can stop it.
“The step to revive protests came when Goa was less than a month from choosing new members to the legislative assembly.
TMC wants to make a sign for itself in the state.
Using the 125th anniversary of Netaji, Moitra said that the locals and environmental lovers need to imitate Bose.
