Chennai: Coimbatore Pipped Chennai to take place number 1 for the maximum new Covid case on Saturday, when new cases in the state fell to 809 compared to 812 on Friday.
The new cluster in Coimbatore pushed a case of up to 134 compared to 108 on Friday, while in the case of Chennai rose to 120 on Saturday from 114.
Of the 11 districts reported an increase in new cases compared to their Friday, Coimbatore recorded the sharpest, Followed by Chengalpet and Chennai.
Chengalpet reported 65 cases compared to 59 on Friday.
All other districts reported between one and five new cases compared to their Friday counting.
There were 1,120 active cases in Chennai followed by 1,158 active cases in coimbatore.
Screens and Tenkasi reported zero new cases on Saturday.
The state has 9,751 active cases.
The cumulative highway touched 36,273 after the country reported 14 deaths compared to 8 on Friday.
Of the 14 deaths, Chennai and Chengalpet reported three cases each followed by Coimbatore (2), and each in six other districts.
Pondy’s frontpiece level at 1.3 per centpuducherry has 275 active cases on Saturday after adding 32 new cases and issuing 28 patients.
UT did not report a new death for the second day, leaving the victim at 1,863.
The sample pepony level (2,506) was tested on Friday reaching 1.3 percent.
