Chennai: Two districts reported Zero New Covid-19 cases and 16 others in one digit on Friday, when new cases in Tamil Nadu fell to 772 compared to 775 on Thursday.
Thirty districts report zero death.
Of the 13 districts, four came from Trichy.
Coimbatore and Tiruvallur have two each, and five other districts – Chennai, Erode, Salem, Namakkal and Vellore reported one of their respective deaths.
Chennai (120) and Coimbatore (119) continue to report new cases in three digits.
While Chennai reported the sharpest decline of 126 cases on Thursday, Coimbatore was one of the three districts that reported the sharpest increase.
The Western District reported 112 cases on Thursday.
Krishnagiri (12) and namakkal (40) also reported seven cases more than on Thursday.
Eleven other districts reported a marginal increase in the case on Friday.
In the end, 884 people were dismissed from the registry and there were 8,953 active cases – 1305 in Chennai and 1179 in Coimbatore.
The cumulative toll road since March 2020 touched 36,349 and this case reached 27.18 lakh.
