Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has formed a 39 member committee, including four of the AIDMK, led by Minister M K Stalin to monitor the implementation of a sponsored scheme in the city center.
They include Mgnrega, Deen Dayal Anyodaya-National Living Mission Mission, Deen Dayal Upadhayaya – Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (Rural Employment Scheme) and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (road connectivity to residence).
The coordination and monitoring committee of district development, also known as the Disha Committee, will meet at least once every six months.
The Minister of Rural Development K R Perkanakppan will be chairman with the state state committee.
Reference provisions for the Committee include, reviewing the spread and effectiveness of human resources involved by the state government and local government in implementing various development programs and projects.
“The Committee will discuss the constraints of implementation and provide advice to improve the design and programs that are approved or make a medium correction,” said government bookings.
The Committee will take all the necessary steps to ensure that the program benefits to flow to the poor in full size.
The Committee will review the flow of funds in the fulfillment of state obligations in connection with various programs and projects, in addition to reviewing constraints that inhibit timely implementation of various projects and solving land problems, if any.
This will look into complaints / alleged irregularities received in connection with the implementation of the program, including complaints of the wrong choice of beneficiaries, misuse and transfer of funds and recommends follow-up action, the Order said.
The Ministry of Rural Comparison of the United States has nomined several parliamentarians to the Committee.
TR BAU, SS Palanimanickam and Raja, Tiruchi Siva and Bhararhi Hospital (All DMK), M Selvaraj (CPI), PR Natarajan (CPM), Su Thirunavukkarasar (Congress), Tholl Thirumaa Valavan (VCK), K Navasisi (IUML), P Raveendranath Kumar, Navaneethakrishnan and SR Balalasubramoniyan (AIADMK) are members of parliament who will become members of the committee.
The State Government has been nominated by MLAS, V G Rajendran, n Ezhilan, T K G NeeMegam, M Boasia (all DMK), J M H Aassan (Congress) and K a Sengottaiyan (AIADMK).
Finance Secretary, Planning and Development, Disaster Revenue and Management, Environment, Climate and Forest Department, Head of Department, Non-Official Members and NGO representatives are members.
