TN: 4 Die in Fireworks Unit Blast Near Sivakasi

VIUDHUNAGAR: Four people died and eight others suffered a serious injury in the explosion in the firecrackers near Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu on Saturday morning.
The accident took place around 9 in the morning in one of the warehouses from the RKVM fireworks factory in Kalathur Village.
The deceased has been like S Kumar from Mettupatti, P periyasamy of Servaikaranpatti and S Veerakumar and Murucesan from Paripatti.
Those who suffered injury were Muniyandi, Gopalakrishnan aka Muthu, Muniyasamy, Velmurugan, Kalipan, Alagaramy, V Kanagarathinam and Mano Aravind.
Who was injured in a hurry to the civil servant hospital.
“We have taken three bodies and tried to clean up the rubble with Earthmover to take a body that was destroyed,” said the Sivakasi firefighters K Balamurugan, more than two hours after the accident.
The initial question by the police and fire and rescue service personnel revealed that the explosion occurred in a warehouse where chemicals were stored.
It is suspected that workers can mix chemicals and can explode accidentally.
Nearly five warehouses and most of the store space was damaged in the explosion.
More than 20 firefighters fought with a flame with a fire tender from the Sivakasi and Vathirairuppu fire extinguisher.
While the fire is seen postponed, delaying smoke must be done carefully because it has aluminum powder.
According to firefighters, aluminum powder can burn if there is light friction.
The body of the victims was sent to the government of government hospital for autopsy.
Injured, including one in critical condition, in a hurry to the hospital.
