Kalakurichi: Five people scorched dead and more than 10 others suffered severe burns in a fire accident in Godown’s fireworks in Sankarapuram in Kallakuruchi Regency on Tuesday night.
The death toll could rise because some people were reported missing and some who were injured were in critical condition.
Police said the fire broke out in wholesale fireworks and immediately swallowed adjacent shops.
