Chennai: The fresh COVD-19 case was dipped further for the fifth day in a row on Tuesday, when TN added 1,893 new cases compared to 1,929 cases on Monday.
But 14 districts including Chennai, Vellore and Salem, reported an increase in the last 24 hours.
Cases moved to 25.79 lakh and the death toll touched 34,367.
On Tuesday, the state registered 27 deaths due to viral infections.
With 224 new Covid-19 cases, Coimbatore, who continued to report the highest number of cases, reported a decline of 11 cases from 235 on Monday.
The western district saw the second highest decline after Cuddalore, who reported 73 cases compared to 87 on Monday.
Meanwhile, Chennai, who reported more than 200 cases after almost a week on Tuesday, also reported the biggest increase from 182 cases on Monday to 209 on Tuesday.
Chennai also has a new number of cases after coimbatore.
Active cases in Chennai rose to 2005.
The only other district that has more than 2000 people still in the treatment of viral infections is Coimbatore (2234), Erode (169) and Chengalpet (105) report a decline in new cases.
Coimbatore restrictions, Erode, Chennai and Chengalpet all other districts reported less than 100 cases each.
Vellore, Salem, Tirvannamalai, Ranipet and Mayiladuthurai are among countries to report marginal increases in cases.
Five County – Dindigul (9), Virudhunagar (9), Screening (6), Tenkasi (4) and Ramanathapuram (3) – Cases reported in one digit.
Meanwhile, 1.5 lakh people took vaccines on Tuesday taking vaccine calculations in government centers up to 2.35.
Since May 1, 17.53 lakh people have taken vaccines at the center of private vaccination.
