Madurai: T Ramesh Babu assumed the office as an additional division train manager in the Madurai train division on Thursday.
He replaced Lalit Kumar Mansukhani, who was transferred to South Central Railway.
Ramesh Babu is an electronic engineer and belongs to the 1996 batch Indian Railway signal engineering.
He has served trains in various capacities in the signal and telecommunications departments for more than 23 years.
He also worked as deputy head signals and telecommunications engineers in the central organization for train electrification.
As a General Manager at the Railtel Corporation of India, Secunderabad, he plays a role in the development and success of the implementation of ambitious projects from Indian trains such as e-office, a digital workplace solution that aims to work with Indian trains during 2019-20.
