CHENNAI: Following a week-long intense lockdown from the country to attract the spike in Covid-19 instances under management, the Tamil Nadu government is mulling over phased unlocking, with all quantified relaxations.
The country is considering the hints of health specialists which relaxations might be introduced into the districts which have caused the pandemic in check.
Chief Union M K Stalin on Friday held a meeting with bureaucrats to take inventory of the prevailing scenario.
As of this moment, only those stores selling essential products are permitted to function.
“District-wise evaluation was completed on the entire positivity rate as well as the access to health infrastructure to deal with the circumstance.
Health and sales departments are together working on the relaxations and a telephone is going to be taken on Friday night and a statement will be made on Saturday afternoon,” said a leading official.
