Chennai: Head of Nadu Tamil M K Stalin on Friday launched the Development Mission of Palmyra on RS 3 Crore expenditure.
Maintaining his promise was made in a budget session that had just been held, the speaker M Appavu talented one lakh Palmyra Seeds to the Ministry of Agriculture in the presence of the Minister of Chief at the Secretariat.
“The chairman of the minister launched the Mission of Development Palmyra, the plantation from one lakh seeds was presented by a speaker at Lake Bunds, roadside and agricultural land,” the official release said.
Palmyra is a country tree.
Considering a sharp decline in the area under Palmyra, the state government announced that actions will be taken to distribute 76 lakh palmyra seeds and one lakh palmyra seeds to famers in 30 districts with full subsidies.
Presenting the country’s first agricultural budget, Minister M R Kneerselvam said that permissions from collectors would be made mandatory to cut Palmyras in an inevitable state.
