Chennai: A 17-year-old boy who allegedly raped a woman who was mentally challenged near Sriperumbudur was arrested on Tuesday.
The police said the 23-year-old woman was the daughter of a couple from a village near Sriperumbudur.
Because of the pandemic, his parents were forced to work and had to leave their daughter alone at home.
The little boy noticed that the woman was alone at home and went to her house to be friends with her.
The police said he went to his house two days ago and locked the door from the inside and then raped him.
After his parents returned home, they found what had happened and filed a complaint at all women’s Sripipumbudur police station.
The boy was sent to the government’s house.
