Chennai: Given Diwali, Tamil Nadu Nadu Transport Corporation (TNSTC), State Express Transport Corporation (Setc) and private operators will operate additional buses from various purposes.
To facilitate congestion and confusion at the dormitory point, the state has decided to operate services from six terminus namely Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT), Madhavaram Mofussil Bus Terminus (MMBT), Poonamallee Bus Stand, Tambaram Sanitorium Bus Station Bus, Tambaram Depot Depot and KK Nagar.
Special services will start from November 1 to 3 and November 5 to 8.
CMBT: Bus to VelanKanni, Trichy, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Sengottai, Nagercil, Thiruchendur, Villupuram, Kalakurichi, Salem, Virudhunagar, Pudukkottai, Karaikudi, Erode, Salem, Pollachi And Bangalore Madhavaram: Bus to Andhra Pradesh and all APSRTC buses through Red Hills, Gummidipoondi and Uthukottai.
Poonamallee: Bus to Kancheepuram, Arcot, Arani, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Thirupattur and Hosur.
Tambaram Sanitorium: Bus to Tindivanam, Thanjavur, Panruti, Kumbakonam and Vikravandi Tambaram Railway Station: Bus from Chennai Via Tindivanam to Tiruvannamalai, Gingee, Katumanarkoil, Pollur, Vadalur, and its surroundings.
KK Nagar Bus Depot: The bus passes the east east road to Puducherry, Cuddalore and Chidambaram.
MTC arranges a special connecting bus for passengers to reach a special bus station.
Passengers were asked to follow all Covid norms and wore masks throughout their trip.
TNSTC, Setc, and Omni buses will take the following route: -All TNSTC ordered, SetC bus from Koyambedu CMBT will ride the outer ring road to reach the bus station while Uakapakkam to ride passengers who order from Tambaram and Perungalihur.
As always the Setc bus will ply through Poonamallee High Road, Vanagaram, Nazarathpet, Outer Ring Road and reach Vandalur.
These buses will not pass Tambaram and Perungulatath.
Likewise, the Omni bus that operates from Koyambedu bound to other districts must take the Poonamallee High Road, Vanagaram, Nazarathpet, Outer Ring Road and reach Vandalur.
These buses will not pass Tambaram and Perungulatath.
The Omni bus to ECR will be permitted through 100 feet of roads, Kathipara, Guindy, Sardar Patel Road (OMR, ECR) subject to traffic police approval.
The Omni bus must avoid the points up on the road 100 feet, Poonamallee High Road in front of CMRL, ALANDUR METRO, KK Nagar.
Instead the passengers can be asked to rise from Koyambedu or Urapakkam.
All passengers were asked to record the settings above, plan their trips, the authorities said.
