Chennai: Two government doctors about the contract, arrested on Thursday for charges of raping two female doctors at the Covid Isolation Hotel, was a predator who approached the survivors with the pretext of helping them in sorting out.
In two separate incidents, two female doctors were sexually attacked at a star hotel, where they had all been accommodated during a short Covid contract, on August 5 and September 6.
Women filed separate complaints against violators to the Government of Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital Dean, but had a terrible experience over the past two months.

On the same day, Vetriselvan emptied the hotel room and moved to a friend’s house in Chennai.
In the second incident, the police said the woman’s doctor lived on the second floor of a hotel in Anna Salai, while being arrested by M Mohanraj, 28, living on the third floor.
Mohanraj invited a female doctor to her room with the pretext of teaching sports and breathing exercises.
Once entered into his room, Mohanraj attacked him and harassed him sexually.
To find out two incidents, other doctors took a problem with brass over a government hospital.
Police said RGGH Dean, Dr.
E Theranirajan assigned a team of doctors to conduct an investigation.
The committee handed over the report earlier this week.
When contacted, Thanairan said he received a complaint on November 16 and that he formed the investigation committee the following day.
“The minutes into an investigation of the Committee members concluded that there was a prime proof of facie sexual abuse, including rape.
They immediately sent us a report who suggested we filed a complaint of the police,” he said.
On the same day, the two doctors, who worked on a contract, were dismissed from the service and police complaints submitted by the hospital.
The Directorate of Medical Education, Puncak Body Managing Government Medical College Hospital in the State, ratified the decision to end the doctors.
“We have taken adequate steps to ensure legal action taken against the wrong doctor.
We have also asked all medical colleges to ask doctors with Covid’s duties to empty the hotel room,” said Minister of Health MA Subramanian.
The state has more than 500 doctors on contracts to serve in Covid Wards.
