CHENNAI: C Sylendra Babu, DGP, fire and rescue services, has led 343 fire stations throughout Tamil Nadu to feed stray creatures daily through the lockdown.
Roadside eateries are closed and people movement is limited as a result of complete lockdown.
Thus, stray creatures that live scavenging leftovers have become hungry.
“We normally look after the puppies around our channels.
Considering that the lockdown began, our firemen have a little additional food ready in their kitchens to the strays also, and be certain they’re fed.
They came forward to help stray animals after previous year’s lockdown also,” explained an official in the department.
