CHENNAI: A engineering student playing a drinking session with his buddies in a resort room was killed in a battle that broke away with a different group of youths who remained in the resort in Arumbakkam during Thursday night.
Police identified the victim as Badhrish, 20, of Royapettah.
Police stated Badhrish along with his buddies Dinesh, 21, also Vignesh, 21, determined to get an outing and reserved a room in a three-star resort in Arumbakkam to get a drinking session Thursday.
The trio have been in room 301.
Moses, of Choolaimedu, had reserved the adjoining area 302 to observe the birthday of his buddy Esaki with their buddies.
They were a set of six.
An investigating officer, even quoting the sufferer’s buddy, said,”Moses and his buddies had been dancing and singing loudly.
Badhrish and his buddies found it overly noisy and upsetting and asked the group next door to maintain the noise in check.
However, Moses and his buddies took crime and picked a battle ” The debate between the two groups escalated to fisticuffs and the resort management requested both parties to depart the premises.
However, they began to fight out on the street, authorities said.
“Moses called a number of his buddies to join him along with a group of five guys came on motorbikes and assaulted Badhrish, Vignesh along with Dinesh with enormous stones.
Dinesh was able to escape it but Badhrish suffered multiple traumas and Vignesh a separation over the fashionable,” the officer stated.

A group in the Arumbakkam police station reached the area.
Badhrish was shot into some privtae hospital near in which doctors declared him brought dead.
The body has been shipped to Government Kilpauk Medical College and also Hospita for postmortem.
Vignesh is undergoing treatment to the rest.
According to a complaint from Dinesh, authorities detained Ajith Kumar, 20, of Nesapakkam; Balaji, 25, of Virugambakkam; Vignesh, 21, of Ramapuram; Venkatesan, 25, of Mahalakshmi Nagar such as murder.
A hunt is on to get a couple others.
