Chennai: Secretary General of BJP State, R Raghavan resigned from the party post on Tuesday after Youtuber released a visual video call between a man and woman.
Madan Ravichandran, who posted a video with his comments that accused the BJP leader with indecent behavior, identified himself as a member of BJP and a journalist.
The woman’s face ran away in a video that appeared to have been recorded from the end.
As soon as the video was released on social media, President Tamil Nadu BJP K Annamalai said the panel led by the Malakodi State Secretary would investigate the authenticity of the video.
“This team will learn the truth behind the accusation and will begin the right actions against those who are proven to be accused,” said a statement from Annamalai.
Raghavan denied the allegations and said he would face them legally.
“I know about videos circulating on social media since morning.
The video was released to tarnish me and my party.
I met the President of the State K Annamalai and discussed with him.
I resigned from my party post,” he tweeted.
Raghavan added that the Tamil Nadu and those who were close to him knew him.
“I have been on duty for the past 30 years without hope, ” he said in a tweet.
Annamalai said he had received Raghavan’s resignation.” I am sure he will face this problem legally and prove himself, “Annamalai said in a statement.
On the Youtube page He, Madan said he had told Annamalai about the ‘sting surgery’ and the video.
“This video was released with Knowledge Annamalai, ‘” he said.
For this, the State BJP president said that Madan did meet him, but he was not shown video content.
“Madan approached me twice and demanded action against Raghavan.
I asked him to complete the video and told him that the action could not be taken without seeing the contents, ensuring his authenticity or looking for an explanation of the person concerned.
I advised him to share video evidence, “Annamalai said.” Later, Madan sent a text message asking if there was an action taken against Raghavan.
I stand firm in my seat that disciplinary action cannot be taken without knowing the facts of the accusation.
Therefore, I replied, said he could continue if he wanted justice, “Annamalai said.
At the Madan claim that he had more videos like that, Annamalai said such a statement asked a question about the intention behind his activities.” This action is purely not able to Accepted, “he said Sincerely, and love, “he said.
