Chennai: Take steps to expel 403 parties that penetrate Lake Chitlapakkam, Madras High Court has told the Government of Tamil Nadu.
“The state must take appropriate action in accordance with the law under the protection of Tamil Nadu from the tank and the eviction of encroachment law, 2007, for notifications for the felt ranking,” the first bench Head of Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy said on Wednesday.
The problem is related to the Writ Petition of the Public Interest submitted by the anti-corruption of the Arappor NGO Iakkam to eliminate encroachment in Lake Chitlapakkam in terms of Tambaram and Pallavaram, along with ending the waste disposal to the lake.
When the request came to hear, the P Muthukukar government advocate submitted effective steps to remove shrimp cannot be taken because of the selection of assembly and locking.
The same recording, Bench said, “Now the election ends and the restrictions are imposed under locking after the second wave has diminished, the state must take appropriate action.” The court then postponed the trial on September 8, for the country to submit a compliance report.
On April 8, the state told the court that adding 403 was found at 83.89 hectares of water body classified as ‘Eri’ (tank).
Of the 403, 374 is with a home site.
Furthermore, the notification has been issued for encroachment under the protection of Tamil Nadu from the tank and eviction of encroachment regulations, 2007.
According to the Petitioner, he wants to protect Lake Chitlapapakkam which is spread over the BULI BULL.
Around the lake along with the lane by eliminating encroachment.
It also strives to hold off officials from changing lakes and areas that side by side into parks, landfills or garbage and then connect the lake with lakes in Selaiyur and nature.
