Chennai: The state government on Tuesday announced a new annual award, Thagaisal Tamilar Award, in recognition of those who have contributed greatly to the development of Tamil Nadu and Tamils.
Official release says Minister M K Stalin has ordered a new award institution.
“The minister’s chairman also ordered the Committee Constitution to choose the recipient.
The Committee led by the Main Minister will consist of industry, the Minister of Language and the official culture of Tamil Thangam Thananasu and the Head of Secretary of V IRAI ANBU,” said his broadcast.
This award consists of 10 lakh RS cash and certificates.
The minister’s chairman will reward during the celebration of independence day.
