Coimbatore: a private helicopter rented from Bengaluru by a couple to reach Kochi in Kerala made an emergency landing on agricultural land in the Tamil Nadu district on Saturday morning due to bad weather.
Police sources said the pilot had bad weather while flying over Sathyamangalam forest around 10:30 a.m.
The helicopter landed safely on agricultural land in Athiyur near Kadambur.
The couple, a pilot and an engineer above the helicopter.
The couple went to Kerala for treatment.
A large number of villagers gather near the helicopter.
Police personnel were deployed to protect the helicopter.
The helicopter released around 2.15 a night after the weather changed.
