Chennai: An employee of a private retired company was attacked by a community resident who was gated in Chengalpet after the former suspected of dealing with him for attacking a lost dog.
Police Thazhambur has registered a case against Ramesh of Eden Park based on complaints by Mahaveer’s wife Kothari Fizza Kothari.
The incident occurred on January 13 when Mahaveer returned to his house after feeding wild dogs.
He said he saw Ramesh, a resident, attacked a wild dog with sharp wood and faced him.
However, Ramesh allegedly attacked him with a log after that Kothari fainted in place.
The police said that a case had been registered under Section 294 (B) and 324 IPC and added that further investigation was ongoing.
