TN lockdown: Govt Permits PDS Sockets to Start

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government on Monday issued an order permitting people supply outlets to operate from 8am to noon. Cardholders, who haven’t got the Covid-19 aid of Rs 2,000, may avail the sum during the extreme lockdown period, aside from the critical commodities. An official release said the authorities consent could be granted to employees, including employees taking gunny bags. All district collectors are advised to disperse the vital products to the cardholders as well as the Covid relief with no interruptions. “Public have been requested to follow standard operating systems, including maintaining physical space and sporting masks, while obtaining the commodities in PDS outlets,” the release stated. The cardholders should act with extreme caution and take a PDS card without any neglect. The authorities permitted the insurance organizations to operate with just one third of employees like banking associations.
