Chennai: A 30-year-old man was hacked to death by his friend at Pullarambakkam in the Tiruvallur district on Saturday night.
Police said Murugan from J J Nagar, who worked in a private company, invited his friend Subash Chandrabose, 30, to talk when an argument broke.
Murugan took out the knife and stabbed him on his shoulder when Subash began to run.
However, Murugan chased him and stabbed him to death.
Petualsby warned the police, who then sent the body to postmortem to a government hospital.
Murugan then gave up before the police.
The initial question revealed that the duo worked in the same company for several months.
The police were investigating the reasons behind the murder.
