Chennai: A 55-year-old man died after the car he traveled was hit by a bus coming from the opposite direction on the east road road (ECR) near Mamallapuram on Sunday, police said.
A dead man, who was identified as Suresh, a resident of Bala Arunachalam Street at Old Washermenpet, traveled with his friend Vignesh, 35, from Kappal Street at Old Washermenpet, to Mamallapuram.
According to the police, when they approached the Pudu Koil in Thirukazhukadram, another four-wheeled one who followed them hit their car.
Vignesh who is behind the wheel loses control and the car goes spinning on the road.
Meanwhile, a bus that came from Mamallapuram crashed into a car.
Under the impact, one of the back doors of the vehicle down and Suresh who did not have a seat belt thrown from the car.
He suffered a severe head injury and died on his way to the hospital, police said.
Vignesh is also a sustainable injury accepted in a private hospital.
The police have registered the case.
