Madurai: Police Pandalgudi in the District of Virudhunagar arrested a man for killing his daughter’s lover’s father who came from a different caste.
The girl belonged to the Asari community while the boy was Dalit.
The victim, Puni, 50, Kurundamadam Village in Aruppukottai Taluk, was killed during a fight between the family.
According to the first information report submitted by the police, Puni Puni P Son, 24, a driver, fell in love with Madhubala from the same village for seven years.
The girl family opposed it because the boy was Dalit.
A few days ago, they sent Madhubala to his grandmother’s place in Thiruthangal.
On Wednesday night, he returned to Kurundamadam and went to Kaleeswaran’s house.
