Trichy: Minister of Administration City, Urban and Water Supply K Nehru on Sunday held a review meeting to ensure the progress of the project under the smart city mission and other infrastructure proposals made by Trichy Corporation.
The corporate source said that the discussion focused on new infrastructure proposals in the city.
The minister was told about the plan to rebuild the Kollankulam tank in e pudur as a recreational location.
The Civic body has prepared a proposal to store rainwater surpluses in a 47 hectare tank and develop Bunds as a recreation site.
The minister is also updated on plans to convert the stone mine left behind in Karumandapam and Periyamilagupaaara as a public storage tank to store rainwater.
