TN: minutes after an 80-year-old death, 75-year-old wife died

Chennai: A few minutes after a 80-year-old man died of a disease, his 75-year-old wife fell unconscious and died unable to bear the death of her husband in their home in Chengalpet on Sunday.
The police said that the woman died of a heart attack.
Police said Ramalingam, 80, a resident of Amman Koil Street, Chengalpet married Banumatathy.
Because the couple did not have children, they adopted one of their relatives’ sons 30 years ago and took him.
Ramalingam has been lying in bed for the past six years and was treated with Banuatiathy.
His condition deteriorated and when he was taken to a local hospital doctor stated he died.
When mortal remains were brought back to their homes for relatives to appreciate their last, Banumatati broke down.
He remains not consistent.
Within minutes, he loses consciousness.
When relatives tried to turn him back on, he did not respond.
The police said the couple kept each other very well and did not depend on anyone for their lives.
He never moved away from her husband, since the day he fell ill six years ago.
According to neighbors he never attended all the functions that made him alone and never allow anyone to feed him.
Their adoptive son, Jayaraman, did the last ritual for the couple and they were buried together.
The neighbors also told the police that they always wanted to die together and were buried together.
