Chennai: Estimating Paper Questions that are easy as last year remembered the Pandemic Covid-19, medical aspirants from the country said they were surprised by the formidal physics questions in the national feasibility licensing test (NEET) carried out on Sundays.
Candidates say biology is easier and chemically quite difficult.
Experts predict a slightly dipped score and cut-off lower than the previous year.
About one lakh candidate from 18 cities in the state attended the 224 centers who comply with tight Covid-19 protocols.
In Chennai, 17,992 registered students, 800 absences (96% attendance).
Likewise, Salem (96.1%), Trichy (96%) and Coimbatore (98.7%) recorded a good presence.
In Madurai, from 10,341 registered candidates, 9,094 (87%) appeared for the exam.
Meanwhile, from 9,105 registered students, 8,746 students appeared for exams at 21 centers in Trichy.
J Dharani from Chennai said, the physics paper is the most difficult so far in Neet.
“NTA hasn’t considered a pandemic situation.
Of the 45 questions in physics, 35 it was difficult because they were based on calculations.
The choice was also very close and tough,” he said.
B K Lokesh said additional options were complicated and so students need more time.
Students say biological parts are easier because of the very different options and students can identify correct answers easily.
The exam was held between 2pm and 5pm, most of which allowed the entry of candidates from 11 in the morning.
Thermal screening and fricking are done before students are permitted in the exam center.
Social distance goes for throws in many centers, especially where a large number of candidates and parents gather.
While the center in the Ceoa Matrikulation of High School High School has been given 900 candidates, four centers have been given more than 700 candidates while other centers have been allocated between 200-600 candidates.
In Madurai, students from schools and schools assisted by the government appeared for the exam.
Head of the Educational Officer District (CEO), R Swaminathan, has interacted with online students on the night of the exam to motivate them.
“All who signed up for the NEET exam and attended our training class appeared for the test.
We got positive feedback from students because they could prepare better this time,” said S Vennila Devi, District Coordinator for Training Neet Government.
The exam coordinator in Trichy said that the candidates showed more responsibility this year and there was no big problem in the test behavior.
“The majority of candidates have compiled instructions such as those given a recognition card.
Overall, there is an increase in the way candidates appear for inspection at the center,” C J Chacko, coordinator, NEET and the principal of Samad Secondary School in Trichy, said.
B Pavan Kumar, Deputy Director of Fiitjee, Chennai, said the question papers were long and many students could not answer all questions.
“Because of the hard paper, students can expect a better ranking than last year.
For example, a student with 650 marks in 720 in Neet gets around 2,000 years ago.
This year students will get 1,600 ranked for the same sign,” he said.
