Madurai: A one-year-old boy died of burns on Saturday after the hot water from the pot accidentally fell to him while playing in a relative house in Kodimangalam in the Madurai district.
The deceased was identified as M Ipamparithi from Thuhaneri in Madurai.
According to the police, a one-year-old child, along with his father and family went to their relatives at Kodimangalam for a vacation.
On the night of December 24, the boy who played at home accidentally pulled the pot of hot water and the water fell to him caused burns.
He immediately rushed to a private hospital and was treated for treatment.
However, after a week-long battles for a week, Ipamparithi died to burn injury on Saturday.
Police Nagamala-Pulajottai registered the case below the 174 CRPC section.
The problem is being investigated.
