TN: Oxygen Express reaches Madurai

MADURAI: A Oxygen Express train transporting five tankers filled with 66.
12 metric tonnes of liquid oxygen in the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) plant at Rourkela, at Odisha, attained the Koodal Nagar channel in Madurai on Thursday afternoon.
A brand new ramp was constructed in the channel to ease rolling of their tankers in the Ro-Ro rakes.
The tankers led for their own destinations in the area by road.
This is actually the third largest Oxygen Express train into the southern areas of Tamil Nadu and also the 24th into Tamil Nadu.
The coming of the tankers requires the complete oxygen hauled in other States into the Tamil Nadu by trains in this outbreak to 1,393.
71 metric tonnes.
