Chennai: As heavy rains put a different part of Tamil Nadu, Governor R N Ravi on Thursday was discussed with the chairman of Minister M K Stalin Rescue and relief operations.
He also spoke with the General National Director of Response Response Response General N Pradhan.
Ravi was in New Delhi, attending the 51 governor’s conference and Governor LT in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Raj Bhavan Tweeted, “Governor R N Ravi discussed with the Minister of Justia’s MK Stalin by telephone rescue and operations of assistance carried out by the state government in the view of heavy rain caused by depression in Bengal.” NDRF has deployed 14 battalions and has more strength on standby.
The governor expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of Home Union Amit Shah to expand the support, rescue and mitigation measures in the flood-affected area.
