TN raised the quota for women in government work from 30% to 40%

Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government has increased the quota for women in government work from 30% to 40%.
Announcement in the Assembly on Monday, the Minister of Finance and Human Resource Management Palanivel Thiaga Rajan said Gender equality would play a major role in the sacrificing change and the government would introduce the amendments needed to implement an increase in job quota for women.
According to the 2017-18 data provided by the Department of Employment and Training, from 8,8Lekh employees of the state government, the state of the state and local agency, 2.92LAH is a woman.
The percentage of women among government employees is 33%.
“This trend is that women do far better in terms of numbers in government services.
The quota system does not mean that it will be directly translated into numbers,” said a senior government employee.
Officers point to the number of women who compete in the general category also to enter the appropriate service.
From Angawandi’s staff to workers in lunch centers, teachers, assistants, part officers, head of engineers and additional secretaries, women held various posts at the government office.
Replying to the debate about the demand for grants for the Human Resources Management Department, the Minister said preferences will be given to orphans, who have lost their parents to Covid-19, graduates of the first generation and medium-class students in government schools when filling in vacancies in posts government.
“Because of the Pandemic Covid-19, the age limit for the recruitment exam will relax two years because the exam is delayed,” said Palanivel Thiaga Rajan.
Tamil language papers will be made mandatory in the exam done by recruitment agencies for all state government departments and efforts to ensure 100% of Tamil Nadu candidates are appointed for vacancies.
The Department of Human Resources will get software and experts for the Directorate of Precautions and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) at a cost of RS 1.1crore to analyze online banking transactions.
The state government will establish a DVAC unit in the newly established district, including Chengalpet, Kallakurichi, Mayiladuthurai, Ranipet, Tenkasi and Triupattor at the cost of RS2.9 Crore.
The state government plans to provide training to all government school teachers from elementary school to high school at Anna Institute of Management.
Along with teachers, child protection officers, Anganwadi workers, lunch workers and warden of welfare hostels will be given special training at the cost of RS 2Crore.
The government will conduct refresher training for government employees, which has crossed 53 years of time management, leadership quality and maintaining good public relations.
