Chennai: Acceptance for postgraduate dental programs has been detained by the Medical Counseling Committee after Madras High Court said additional reservations provided for the economically weaker part of July 29 2021 could not be permitted without the approval of the Supreme Court.
On Friday, the committee, which should release Round 1 Admissions to seats under all Indian quota, which is considered and the central university, said it would place counseling while holding “to seek clarification from the Supreme Court in this matter”.
On Thursday, the first bench of the chairman of Judge Sanjib Banerjee and Justice PD Aucikesavalu, banning a 10% quota for the economically weaker part (EWS) among the advanced caste in medical acceptance under the Indian quota (AIQ), by saying it will take total reservations out there.
The Supreme Court Majed Hat is 50%.
It was also held that the OBC quota for AIQ seats would be 27% as informed by the Government, and not 50% as requested by DMK.
PKS, which is an inch of counseling for reception to Central University / Demed and all Indian quota seats at the government college said, given the court order, legal opinion was being sought from the APEX court.
