TN Register 1,929 Cases Covid-19 Fresh, 23 Death

Chennai: The fresh Covid-19 case was dipped further on Monday, when TN registered 1,929 cases compared to 1,956 on Sunday.
Cases in at least 10 districts increased marginally but dipping the maximum of each district in the last 24 hours is seven cases.
The highest dip was reported in Erode with 178 cases on Monday compared to 185 on Sunday, followed by Coimbatore, who reported 235 cases compared to 241 on Sunday.
Coimbatore continues to report the maximum number of new cases in the state.
Chennai, who has the second highest number of cases in this country reported 182 cases on Monday compared to 187 cases on Sunday.
Since March 2020, 25.77 lakh people have been infected with Covid-19 and 34,340 of which have died.
On Sunday, 23 people died of infection, while 1886 of them were dismissed from the country’s registry.
“We have asked the District Health Authority to filter patients who come from neighboring Kerala, who have reported more than 20000 cases every day,” said Minister of Health MA Subramanian.
“So far 227 people who come with the train have undergone a RPCR test.
Most of them bring RPCR reports or vaccination settlement certificates,” he said.
On Monday, one person from Kerala was tested positively for viral infections.
Among the 23 deaths, Thanjavur, Tiruppur and Salem reported five respectively.
While Chennai reported two deaths, six other districts reported one of their respective deaths and all other districts reported zero death.
