Chennai: The rate of decline in new cases down on Wednesday, when TN reported 4,506 new Covid-19 cases and added 113 deaths to the registry.
While 5,537 people were dismissed from the registry, there were 38,191 people who were seeking treatment for viral infections.
Although fresh cases in the state have continued to fall for the past week, the Daily Drop difference has narrowed.
For example, on June 25, the state reported 5,755 new cases – 407 cases less than what was reported on June 24, 2008, when the state reported 5,415 cases, the 24-hour difference fell to 340.
The subsequently narrowed down to 288 on June 27 when the country recorded 5127 case.
On June 29, the difference narrowed to 292.
On Wednesday, the country reported six cases of less than 4512 reported on Tuesday.
“Some districts have reported increased cases compared to what they see a week ago.
But then the increase is unstable,” said Secretary of the State Health J Radhakrishnan.
Tiruvannamalai, who reported 164 new cases on June 24, reported 199 on Wednesday.
Cases fell in the district until Tuesday, when reporting 125 cases.
“Some districts in the middle area are also erratic and we cannot understand why,” he said.
However, the overall level of participants in the country has dropped below 3.5% and less than 10 districts throughout the country now have the level of participation above 5%.
While Ariyalur has the highest level of participants around 6.5% followed by 6.2% in coimbatore and around 6% in tiruppur.
On Wednesday, Coimbatore continued to report the highest number of positive cases.
The district recorded 514 new cases followed by 420 in Erode, 295 in Salem and 270 in Tiruppur.
Among the cities, Chennai reported 257 cases, Trichy had 205 and Madurai recorded 68.
At least 23 districts reported below 100 cases.
While Ramanathapuram reported 14 new cases – the lowest in the state – stabber and teasation each had 22 and 28 new cases.
Of the 113 deaths, Chennai reported 15 and Coimbatore reported 12.
