TN requested the center not to go to the Mekedatu project okay

Chennai / Bengaluru: Tension is building quickly between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for the dam proposed on the Cauvery River in Mekedatu with even BJP and Congress taking different positions in two countries.
The meeting of all parties in Chennai on Monday unanimously urged the United States to not clean up the project driven by Karnataka, the first time the DMK government and BJP agreed in Tami Nadu.
A few hours later in Bengaluru, the BJP government in Karnataka said it would do everything possible to implement the project.
The All-Party Meeting was led by Minister M K Stalin with a round voice past three resolutions.
The parties said that there was no construction that had to be done in Mekedatu without the approval of a lower riggarian state in accordance with the command of the Supreme Court.
“The efforts of the Karnataka government to build a dam on the command,” said the meeting, by adding a project would affect farmers in Tamil Nadu.
The parties offer full support and cooperation with state government initiatives to stop the project, which they say is a challenge for the constitution.
In his opening speech at the meeting, Stalin said, “Karnataka did not give the water share that should be.
Our question is how the water will come when the dam is built.
Karnataka only supplies surplus water during the flood because it cannot save it.
The state does not provide quantum according to court awards and The command of the Supreme Court.
“Stalin said the proposed dam, with a capacity of 67.16TMCFT, will endanger the interests of Tamil Nadu farmers.
“Karnataka claims that the dam to meet the needs of drinking water from Bengaluru City and for Hydel power plants is not true.
This is to deceive us,” Stalin said.
Nainar Nagendran, the leader of the BJP floor in the TN Council, said the party extended the full support for the DMK government for the welfare of the farmers and that Karnataka should not build a dam without the approval of the lower Ridarian state.
P H Manoj Pandian, AIADMK MLA and Secretary of the Party Organizing, said the state government must move the Supreme Court based on Article 131 of the Constitution and must seek expeditions of cases of insults delayed against violators of the Supreme Court orders.
In Bengaluru, Basavaraj Bommai, Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliament Karnataka, “There are no questions to stop it.
Because it is a drinking water and excess water projects used, Karnataka has the right to take it.” He appealed to Tamil Nadu to understand that this project would benefit the second Country, especially during the days of distress.
“The final award about sharing Cauvery water has been issued and the Cauvery Water Management Authority will monitor the release of water to Tamil Nadu.
Concerns that Tamil Nadu will lose the water part inappropriate for,” he said.
D K Shivakumar, president of Karnataka Congress, urged the government to implement the project and said the Congress would expand all cooperation.
“We don’t need to worry about the opposition Tamil Nadu.
They will put obstacles even if we wait a hundred years.
Your party is in power in the center – use it and start the project,” he said.
In Chennai, the Tamil Nadu Congress took a diametrical holder, supporting the attitude of the state government on the project.
