Chennai: aims to bridge the learning gap, Tamil Nadu schools that will be reopened for higher classes than September 1, initially will conduct refresher classes.
The Tamil Nadu State Council for educational research and training (SCERT) has prepared a curriculum for refresher classes for students from class 2 to class 12.
These classes are planned to fill the learning gap, because almost all state students have not attended the physical class in the past year.

The Department of School Education also formulates a schedule in such a way that most classes will be short duration and will not make students uncomfortable.
The refresher class for grade 9 to 12 students aims especially in those who have not even attended online classes regularly, the source of the department.
They added that refresher courses would also be beneficial for other students who could review the syllabus.
A study conducted by the department has found that the lack of gadget, connectivity, power failure and lack of power connections in rural areas have caused students to not be able to attend online classes regularly.
“The first two weeks of our class will be dedicated to removing student doubts and teaching refresher course materials,” M.R.
