Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday allows the reopening of schools, colleges and places of worship from February 1, and revoked at night hours from Friday (January 28).
Total locking on Sundays also stands withdrawn.
The announcement took place after the head of Minister M K Stalin led a meeting with health experts and officials on relaxing Covid-19 restrictions.
“Even though some districts climb towards its peak, active and fresh cases have dropped and hospitalized remains low.
Only about 5% of active cases that require hospitalization and more than 80% of the beds are empty,” said a health official .
Starting February 1, in-class classes have been allowed for all students from class I to class XII.
Universities, unless they are used as Covid care centers, are also permitted to function from February 1 after the Covid protocol, command words.
“To allow people to return to normal and for the benefit of the future of students, employment and the economy, the state government issued a new Covid-19 guideline,” a press release announced the relaxation it was said.
Since the beginning of the month, places of worship have been closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Now, restrictions have been appointed.
However, the government has maintained a prohibition on political meetings, cultural and social meetings from February 1 to 15.
Also urged everyone to take part in the Covid-19 protocol released by the State Election Commission while conducting polls for local urban functions.
Functions are permitted with only 100 people while the funeral will be permitted with 50 people.
Prohibitions at school play and nursery schools will continue and trade exhibitions, cultural festivals by the government and the private people will also not be permitted, said government liberation.
The state government, in a sustainable effort to curb Covid-19 cases, maintain sidewalks such as allowing hotels, bakeries, theaters, multiplex, music shows, conferences, gymnastics, beauty salons, only 50%.
There is no prohibition of practical and ordinary sporting events will be permitted with 50% residential at the indoor stadium.
All amusement parks and amusement parks (except water sports) will be permitted to function with the Covid-19 protocol and a capacity of 50%.
“Except for the above restrictions, all Covid-19 sidewalks have been withdrawn,” said CM Stalin in the statement.
However, he said, test, track, treat, vaccination and proper behavior of Covid-19 will be strictly followed.
He also urged district collectors and local bodies to compile the micro-level detention zone to prevent the spread of disease.
In the detention zone, emergency medical services and important services must be permitted, he said.
Stalin asked people to follow the right Covid-19 behavior such as wearing masks, maintaining social distance and getting vaccinations.
He also asked them to expand cooperation full of government efforts to protect people from infection.
