TN: Steep Increase in cement prices Payable

CHENNAI: Participants of the Building and Real Estate Industry Coalition on Saturday staged a Demonstration outside a cement Producer’s Home at Boat Club at Chennai to condemn the skyrocketing Costs of Property.

Secretary of this coalition S Yuvaraj stated that a 50kg bag of property comes at Rs 350 and Rs 370 at Delhi and Andhra Pradesh, respectively.
Assuming the identical structure material has been marketed at Rs 520 at Tamil Nadu, that’s the greatest in the nation, ” he said it had changed all parts of the building sector.
“There is not any foundation for such a significant rise in cement prices,” he explained.
He charged that cartelisation had led to a spike in the purchase price of the main structure material.
The South India Cement Manufacturers Association on Saturday declared it would guarantee that cement has been made accessible at a fair and reasonable cost for the general public.
