TN: Tasmac sales on this 435CR DIWALI, MADURAI TOPS

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Nadu Marketing Corporation (Tasmac) scored 435 crore income during Diwali from the sale of liquor.
The overall sales of this year is a little less than last year.
In 2020, Tasmac’s revenue was 467.69 crores.
Sumber Tasmac said that unlike last year, this year the holiday Diwali spread for five days.
So sales will be distributed in the same week.
The government managed by the government has expected at least 1,000 crore income this week.
With all the 272 Tasmac bars start operating from Monday, sales are expected to rise over the weekend.
The Madurai region recorded maximum liquor sales.
Tasmac shop in the southern city sells liquor worth 98.89 crore on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Following Madurai, the Trichy region recorded 90.25 crores sales revenues on these two days.
In Salem, the income is 87 crores.
The income of the Chennai region (the second last in Tamil Nadu) was 79.85 crore.
Coimbatore recorded a little income for two days.
“Usually during the festival, the people who live in Chennai went to their original places in Madurai, Trichy and Salem to celebrate the festival along with their families.
That’s why this area recorded more sales of liquor,” said a source.
It’s separate, the Madurai region has more Tasmac stores than Chennai.
Madurai has more than 900 stores compared to 882 Tasmac outlets in Chennai.
