Chennai: An attempt to make mathematics learning easier through activity-based learning projects will soon be launched in Tamil Nadu, officials said on Tuesday.
‘Magizh Kanitham’ (Mathematics Learning with Joy) will, according to Samagra Shiksha officials, Kindle’s interest among children to learn mathematics.
This new concept of teaching will teach basic math, algebra, and geometry through 180 minutes video.
The State Education Department plans to implement Kanitham Magizh at 6,948 government secondary schools throughout Tamil Nadu with direct effects.

Officials Samagra Shiksha said that the assessment conducted on students had revealed that most students in secondary school found mathematics difficult and considered it a frightening subject.
They expressed hope that students will get basic knowledge about the subject through video learning and get the subject handle through this innovative learning method.
The involvement of mathematics teachers in analyzing students is also an important part of the new concept of learning subjects.
The Department of School Education is conducting an online training program for mathematics teachers on January 20 and 21 to give them basic knowledge about new concepts.
