Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government urges the center to declare 500 km of roads in the state as a national highway that is approved on the principles of trade unions and highways in 2018.
The state government also urges the center to take the center of Madurai WESTERN RING ROAD, SALAK Half Coimbatore and Coimbatore-Sathyamangalama Road 6,600crore.

“The ministry can consider increasing the connecting road between countries for safer traffic flow in the smallest part of GHAT and the smallest traffic,” Minister said.
The cost of the project, including land acquisition is Rs 1,920 Crore.
The state government also took out with the ministry needs to expand eight bypass in the Salem-Ulundpet section of the NH-68 to four lanes soon.
