TN: Vairamuthu says he’s’Coming’ ONV award

CHENNAI: Popular Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu on Saturday declared that he’s coming the esteemed ONV Literary Award conferred upon him Kerala-based ONV Cultural Academy with this particular season.
The growth comes amid criticism, because the statement regarding the award has been made, contrary to the reason for honouring Vairamuthu, against whom allegations during sexual harassment were created before.
In a video statement, Vairamuthu credited the complaint to a malicious men and women.
“I’m anguished, considering if this scenario could belittle poet O N V Kurup [in whose name the award has been staged ] and mepersonally,” he further added.
Noting the intellectual members of this prosecution shouldn’t be left in this delicate position, he stated,”Therefore, I have chosen to prevent accepting this award atop those issues.
” He asked 3lakh prize money be added into this Kerala CM’s disaster relief fund.
