Chennai: Take immediate steps to take 62 hectares of land owned by the Temple of Arulmighu Trisoolanathar in Tirusulam from encroachment, Madras High Court has directed the Chennai district collector department and Hindu Department of Religious and CE (HR & CE).

The problem is related to the defense transferred by Advocates S Xavier Felix accused that most of the Temple’s land has been taken over by encroachment and authorities not taking meaningful steps to recover soil.
When the request came to hear, the Puthukumar Putan government proposed that around 83.26 hectares of land owned by the temple had a third party.
“About 21 hectares have been released and rented from it received by the Temple Executive Officer.
Regarding the balance, around 62 hectares, there are encroachment and actions starting with shrimp because they are said to depend on false documents and made,” he said.
Record submission, the court postponed the hearing on November 29, for the authorities to submit a report.
