Chennai: A 29-year-old woman hacked her husband up in front of their children at their Kancheepuram house on Thursday night, allegedly unable to bear his behavior drunk, police said.
The children who witnessed the incident ran to neighbor’s house in fear, while Raziya then went to the police station and claimed to kill her husband.
While Nowshath’s body was sent to the Kancheepuram government hospital for autopsy, a registered case and the woman was sent to prison.
Police said Nowshath, 34, a car driver, married Raziya 15 years ago and he entered Islam.
The pair together with their nine-year-old daughter and the six-year-old son lived on Jalan Malikai.
In the past few months, Nowshath has harassed him for money after spending a little number he earned driving a car on Booze.
Raziya, who managed to run the family did a rough job, forced to give him money every time he demanded.
He often drunk home and raziya who are physically harassed and children.
“To make sure the children were safe, he sent them to the neighbor’s house until now cooled,” said an investigative officer.
On Thursday, Nowshath came home at 11pm when the children fell asleep and pick up the fight, the officer said, based on Raziya’s statement.
When he took the butcher knife and threatened to kill him, Raziya ran and locked himself in the bathroom.
He continued to bang the door, demanding him out.
At that time the children woke up and began to cry for their mother.
Can’t bear banging on the door, Raziya came out and pushed it down.
He then grabbed the knife from attacking him repeatedly.
Nowshath’s body was boring as many as 18 cutting knives, the officer said.
Some of their neighbors rushed to the place and saw Raziya go to the police station.
Raziya told the police that despite sacrificing his family for him, he continued to harass him.
