TNAU agreed to review student demands

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU) has agreed to consider the demands submitted by students, who are protesting after failing in the exam.
TNAU officials said that the university authorities conducted a successful negotiation on Wednesday.
“The government has advanced to consider their demands such as starting a re-examination process after completion of practical examinations, food arrangements during the exam, provide residences, share notes with students, one test a day and cancellation of registration fees for re-examination,” he said.
The university does not conduct an exam for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic year for undergraduate agricultural students from constituent colleges.
The exam done in July and the results were announced recently.
According to students who protested, more than 90% of 6,000 students appeared for the exam did not clean it.
The results were cut after the university said that some of them were involved in malpractice.Students, which appeared for proctorored tests online using cellular applications, their poor technical disorders said.
However, university administration stated that students involved in malpractice failed.
Despite the demands of students, the university does not carry out a re-examination.
A large number of students gathered on campus to participate in protests organized by the Federation of Indian students.
Colony Saibaba police recently arrested several students.
