Coimbatore: Seven students arrested by Police Colony Saibaba on Tuesday night because they protested at the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University (TNAU) was released with their own guarantee by the Coimbatore District Court on Wednesday.

Students are members of the Federation of Indian Students (SFI).
Seven students come from different colleges.

While students complained about technical disruptions that caused their poor performance, university administration stated that students who had malpractice failed.
As a university refused to make revisions of the results, students continued their protests since Saturday.
