Chennai: shows a higher demand for engineering chairs this year, 25,611 students have registered online to be and B technology B on the Tamil Nadu Engineering portal (TNEA) on the first day.
TNEA has invited online applications for engineering counseling from July 26 to August 24.
“Like on Monday night, 25,611 candidates register their application, 10,084 costs paid and 5,354 applicants upload their certificates,” said a TNEA official.
Last year, 23,583 applications registered on the 1st day.

Candidates can register their application at www.tneaonline.org.
The Directorate of Technical Education has established 51 TNEA (TFC) facilitation centers throughout the state to help students register their application online.
Based on the number of applications for counseling, TNEA will conduct online counseling in four or five rounds.
The certificate will also be verified online because of a pandemic.
According to the schedule, the candidates will be given a random number on August 25.
A list of technical rankings will be released on September 4.
Counseling for special categories will be carried out from September 7 to 11.
Online public counseling will be conducted from September 14 to October 4.
Additional counseling will be held from 12 to 16 October.
