Chennai: More than 61,000 candidates have been implemented online for acceptance of government art and science of Tamil Nadu (tngasa) on the first day.
Candidates can register online for 1.06 lakh chairs in 143 arts and science colleges in the state until August 10 last year, around three lakh applications were received for 90,000 seats.
The source said the number of applications would be more this year with more students cleaning class XII.
All 8.16 Lakh candidates appear for class XII stated pass based on the Baleras system.
For the arts of the arts and government science, the committee will prepare a rank list based on the order of choice and sign for individual courses and send it to college.
The College Admission Committee will recognize students based on ranking list.
The process may take two weeks.
The Collegiate Education Directorate has requested all government universities to establish a reception facilitation center to help students register online.
